The aroma and flavour of Tej Patta is strongly reminiscent of cinnamon, cloves and cassia. Originating on the southern slopes of the Himalayas, they grow mainly in Uttarakhand, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma and in the mountains of North-eastern India.
